Why crate your Ipé decking?
We have had problems with decking that is just
bundled or strapped.
Specifically;
1) over ambitious forklift drivers try to get
purchase on the ends and inadvertently break open the bundles.
What arrives at your home will be a bunch of boards in the bottom of
the truck.
2) the decking can be scratched by forklifts or
items dropped upon the decking
3) oil can be spilled on the decking ruining it.
We know the above to be true as we have filed claims
for all of them.
Caution
The rise in Ipé prices has caused a flood of Tatajuba
to arrive in the American
market. Some dealers may try to sell Tatajuba as Ipé.
